Jessica Lange & Shura Baryshnikov
Jessica Lange is no stranger to the limelight, especially when she started her career as a model at a young age. As an actress, Jessica starred in the remake of King Kong, earning her first Golden Globe. Her other works included Tootsie, Music Box, Country, Frances, and Losing Isaiah. She also made a career on stage and has a good singing voice as well, which she seems to have passed on to her daughter Shura Baryshnikov.
Shura, to her credit, has worked hard to become one of the renowned dancers and choreographers of today. Trained in classical ballet, Shura did not feel pressured to be in the performing arts. Her parents, Jessica and Mikhail, let her choose her own path. She may have started in a different course from her mother. Still, Shura has successfully established herself as a faculty member of the Department of Theater Arts and Performance Studies at Brown University.
