Jack Nicholson & Lorraine Nicholson
Jack Nicholson is an American actor and filmmaker with a 60-year Hollywood career. He is known for his roles as comic protagonists, romantic leads, anti-heroes, and villains in both leading and supporting roles. Some of his most well-known and acclaimed films are One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), As Good as It Gets (1997), and The Shining (1980), just to name a few. The actor’s daughter, Lorraine Nicholson, also followed in his footsteps and pursued a career in the Hollywood industry. She graduated from Brown University with a degree in Literary Arts in May 2012, intending to become a screenwriter.
At the age of 13, Nicholson made her first on-screen appearance as an extra in her father’s film Something’s Gotta Give. The young Nicholson also played Katie’s voice in the animated film Fly Me to the Moon in 2008. However, she is best known for her role in the biographical film Soul Surfer as Alana Blanchard (2011). The father-daughter duo both achieved successful careers in Hollywood in their 30s! Currently, the younger Nicholson is focusing on film directing and writing.
