However, he is very appreciative of true talent and would not hesitate to press the Golden Buzzer for those who truly deserve it. As it happens, Cowell also has good money management skills, as evidenced by a significant return he got from a recent real estate sale. His Beverly Hills mansion was just recently traded on the market for $25 million. In 2004, the TV personality paid $8 million for the six-bed place, which has a maid’s and butler’s room—meaning he earned a net of $17 million, probably a little less considering the renovation he had to do the annual maintenance and taxes.
