Marilyn Monroe | $7 Million | Helena Drive, Los Angeles

Have you ever wondered where a ‘50s movie star like Marilyn Monroe lived? Well, we’re here to tell you that Monroe had a taste for a more modest life despite her glamorous and flamboyant image. Just take a look at this property that the movie star owned. It’s definitely not grand by Hollywood standards, but it is charming and cozy.

This property, located at 12305 5th Helena Drive, is apparently the first and last residential purchase that the actress ever made. It has Spanish Colonial architecture with white adobe walls and brick-red roofing. Inside, you’ll find eight bedrooms, a sunroom, vaulted ceilings, and a vibrant fireplace. It also boasts an expansive backyard with a large swimming pool.  According to sources, the actress was so in love with her home that she spent months decorating it with items she bought from her travels to Mexico. Sadly, the actress never got the chance to finish it, and the property was eventually placed on the market for $7 million.
